I’ve been a qualified Speech and Language Therapist since 2007 and, after nearly 10 years working in the NHS, I transitioned into private practice to have more flexibility while raising my daughter.
In 2020, during the pandemic, I had the privilege of working online with a close friend’s daughter, who was 6 and minimally verbal. The progress she made with a simplified, creative approach to speech therapy sparked the idea for the MoonBee speech development app (moonbee.app), which has become my passion project ever since.
During the last two years, I have been using the MoonBee programme alongside traditional speech therapy techniques and resources to support children with speech sound difficulties.
