Following qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist, I worked for many years within community SLT services for the NHS and within the early years team and Sure Start community services. In 2013 I joined Hampshire County Council, where I was commissioned to develop and run an early intervention service in collaboration with early years community provision. In 2015 I set up as an independent SLT and joined the University of Portsmouth part-time as Senior Lecturer within their Human Communication programme. In 2016 I became a Fellow of the Churchill Memorial Trust following successful completion of an investigation into early intervention for speech sound disorder. In 2017 I moved to the University of Sheffield to teach on their undergraduate clinical and postgraduate courses. Currently I work part-time for the University of Sheffield and provide a small caseload with intervention for difficulties with speech.
