I am a senior Speech and Language Therapist who specialises in working with those with learning disabilities and/or an Autism Spectrum Condition as well those who may also have additional difficulties such as mental health problems, challenging behaviour and ADHD. I also have a special interest in working with adults who experience communication difficulties (such as word-finding difficulties) arising from stroke, dementia or brain injury. I have in-depth experience of working in the areas of Alternative and Augmentative Communication, social skills and emotions for both the NHS and charities. I am trained in the use of PECS, Intensive Interaction, low-tech and high-tech communication aids and Makaton. I provide assessment, training, advice and direct therapy in your own home or service.
