I am a senior Speech and Language Therapist who specialises in working with those with learning disabilities and/or an Autism Spectrum Condition as well those who may also have additional difficulties such as mental health problems and ADHD. I also have a special interest in working with people who experience communication difficulties (such as word-finding difficulties) arising from stroke, dementia or brain injury. I have in-depth experience of working in the areas of Alternative and Augmentative Communication, social communication and emotions for both the NHS and charities. I am trained in the use of PECS, Intensive Interaction, low-tech + high-tech communication aids and Makaton. I am ADOS-2 and ADI-R trained (autism assessment). I provide assessment, training, advice and direct therapy in your own home or service. I am also a qualified English (TESOL) teacher for speakers of other languages.
