My 20+ years experience has focused on pre-school and primary school children in a variety of settings; health centres, nurseries, language units, hearing support facilities, mainstream schools and the family home. In 2004, I specialised in working with deaf and hearing impaired children, and can use BSL. I am experienced in liaising with other health professionals and caring/teaching staff which is essential to ensure progress and consolidation of skills. I enjoy working directly with parents/carers ensuring aims can be functional and relevant to real-life situations.

In 2014-2016, I worked in a secondary school with pupils with specific language impairment such as dyslexia, Aspergers, ASD/ADHD.

From 2016 to present, I have worked with pre school, primary and secondary aged children with a range of speech, language and communication needs. Therapy goals focus on being functional and to boost self esteem and well being to ensure the child wants to and enjoys communicating.
