I have worked through multiple Ofsted visits too and they do vary. I did have one inspector ask to sit in on a session that I was about to start. I asked the pupil (8 year old) if he was okay with that or not and he agreed to the inspector observing…. It was mentioned in the Ofsted feedback report as a positive. On all the other occasions I don’t recall anyone directly questioning me but they may choose a pupil that you see to follow through so school might ask for any information on the interventions you provide and how you measure outcomes.
I’ve never been invited to any of the meetings either. It’s likely that the only way you will know that they have visited is by the stress the teachers exhibit!
