There are many small practices grappling with this at the moment.
The issue is that there aren’t enough therapists. We have a National shortage. Going for employing someone won’t necessarily help – but it will cost you a fair bit of money & time to try and recruit – even if you end up with no one.
There is no quick fix. The services that are considering skill mix with technicians, Assistants and students and those offering training so that others can meet need are probably the ones that will thrive in this environment, which is likely to last at least a few years. It might be a good time to consider an apprentice??
