The ability to communicate is key. My specialist practice is with people with communication and swallowing disorders following stroke, acquired brain injury and neurological diseases e.g. Parkinson’s disease, early dementia. I have worked at local and national levels for more than 30 years, been professional lead for a large NHS service and involved in research.
Following assessment, I will work with your goals, offering therapy based on current best practice and evidenced treatments, advising on strategies, adjustments, use of communication aids and carrying out therapy in a practical, functional way e.g. for shopping, socialising or work. Home visits offered. https://www.communicationspace.co.uk
