Louise currently practises as a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapist in a Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team. She has worked with adult clients and their families for over 10 years within the NHS and is experienced in the assessment and treatment of complex swallowing and communication difficulties arising from neurological conditions, such as stroke, Parkinson’s Disease and dementia. Louise has a special interest in working with stroke survivors who experience communication difficulties, such as aphasia.
Through assessment and therapy/advice, Louise will work with individual clients and their family to reach discussed personal goals, maximise communication and/or eating, drinking and swallowing skills and improve quality of life. Louise is based in Ballymena but is willing to travel.
