I am an independent Speech and Language Therapist working in Cardiff and the surrounding area. I am registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and Health Care Professions Council. I have experience of working with children and young adults who have a variety of communication needs. I graduated from Cardiff University, with a degree in Languages and Human Communication in 2009 and then graduated from UWIC in 2014, with a degree in Speech and Language Therapy. I have since gained a wealth of experience working with a paediatric caseload with LST in Cardiff. I have experience of working with children and young people with ASD, TBI, delayed language, Selective Mutism, Down Syndrome, dysfluency and speech sound difficulties. I am trained in Picture Exchange Communication (PECS), SAS Social Skills programme, Lego Therapy, PROMPT, Eklan 0-25’s with Complex Needs and Attention Autism. I am also an accredited Elklan Tutor able to tutor support staff working with young people with communication needs and qualified to administer ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule).I can offer therapy and assessment appointments at clinic, home or school. I am passionate about working with children, young people and their and families, making therapy motivating and effective for the client, and enriching and accessible for the family.
