I have over 30 years experience working in the NHS in mainstream schools and specialist language resource bases with school-aged children and young people with developmental language disorder, both diagnosis and intervention. I believe in an enablement, strategy-based approach to develop self-help skills and embed them in a learning environment. I have an interest in literacy and the crossover with language.
I have experience delivering whole-school training in identifying language needs in the classroom and implementing strategies as part of quality first teaching. I have experience delivering supervision and mentoring.
