I have been working as a Speech Therapist for over 20 years, gaining my experience within the NHS with both adults and children.
I worked for many years with adults with acquired communication difficulties both in the hospital and community setting. I decided to develop my skills further and currently work with children with a range of communication needs. These include working with children with Autism, developmental language delay, speech sound delay and dysfluency.
I pride myself on having a person and family centred approach to assessment and therapeutic interventions and am committed to working in partnership with early years settings, schools and other healthcare professionals to support children to become confident communicators.
I have post graduate training in Makaton, parent child interaction therapy, SCERTS, Michael Palin Parent Child Interaction Therapy (dysfluency specific). I am a certified NLA practitioner supporting children who are Gestalt Language Processors.
